Mary’s Center’s Behavioral Health department is seeking licensed social workers and professional counselors to join our dynamic, supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Mary’s Center is a community health center serving nearly 60,000 people of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds in the Washington, DC metro area for over 30 years. With an integrated model of health care, education, and social services, Mary’s Center offers each participant individualized care on the path toward good health, stability, and economic independence.


About Our Behavioral Health Team:


We are a team of over 100 staff, including therapists, psychiatrists, Community Support Workers, and Patient Care Navigators. We provide mental health and substance use services in 5 outpatient clinics in DC and Maryland, in 26 DC Public and Public Charter Schools, and online via telehealth. We have a growing number of specialty mental health programs, including Perinatal Mental Health, Early Childhood Mental Health, and Relationship Therapy. We also have Integrated Behavioral Health Therapists working alongside medical providers in our primary care clinics.


We work with clients across the lifespan with a range of diagnoses and presenting concerns. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurances, and we provide care to uninsured clients.


As a team, we pride ourselves on being supportive to one another and participant-centered and trauma-informed in our approach to clinical work.


We are nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation and we are a certified Core Service Agency with the DC Department of Behavioral Health. We are also a Federally Qualified Health Center.

- Twenty-five days of paid leave annually (in addition to paid holidays) plus five educational days to attend trainings and conferences.

- Eligibility for up to $50,000 in student loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps.

- Tuition reimbursement of $1200/year to attend trainings and conferences.

- Weekly group consultation meetings and individual clinical supervision with an experienced community mental health therapist.
