NASWVA offers a range of digital marketing opportunities that will deliver your information directly to thousands of social workers and healthcare professionals statewide. Our newest marketing addition is an update to our Virginia Career Center that enables your company to share job listings, access and review  posted resumes, and more! Career Center pricing is listed below or on the VA Career Center website.

Digital Newsletter Advertising

NASWVA creates and distributes electronic newsletters that are sent to more than 2,500 active Virginia members each month. These well-read publications are a great way for you to advertise a job opening or share your company information. Member newsletters are sent on the 15th of each month or the closest business day to it. Ad copy must be approved by NASWVA; we reserve the right to refuse an ad. Your ad will not appear until payment is received.

Classified Ads

Classified ads are text-only. One link (to an email address or website) can be included. Job listings go to NASWVA members only. Other listings (for a class or to promote your organization, for example) go to both NASWVA members and nonmember contacts during the month.

Display Ads

A display ad can include text and your logo and/or images. The ad should be created as an image file (.jpg, .pdf, .tif), sized to 8.5" wide x 5.5" tall. Please note: The ad will be sized to fit within the digital newsletter. The ad can be linked to your website if desired. Again, job listings go to NASWVA members, while other display ads will be sent to members and nonmembers. Your ad will not appear until payment is received.

Monthly Dedicated E-blasts

Dedicated e-blasts can be text, image(s), or a combination with your link(s). Text in advertisements have a maximum word count of 400 words. See example:

Image advertisement maximum of four images per one email (images can be header, footer, logo, or advertising content).

Maximum size for a full-image display is 1200 × 1553, 505K.

E-blasts are only sent once a month, on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Job Board Listing for 3 Months and E-Blast Mailing

The Virginia job board has been updated to the Virginia Career Center. Advertisers and sponsors can still use the option of dedicated e-blasts and Career Center listings. Please send your dedicated ad materials for approval to marketing.naswva@socialworkers.org. Once you have received approval, you are able to pay at this link. You will then receive a coupon code from the Marketing Department about the Career Center.

**Note: We recommend that your Career Center listing and your e-blast coincide so that you can take full advantage of advertising for your organization. Advertising for three months on the job board could cost up to $650, depending on the number of words you purchase, and  three months of e-blasts could cost up to $450.       • Please note: The 2024 NASWVA and NASW Metro DC Joint Annual Conferences offer in-person exposure in Norfolk, Va., March 21-23, as well as a virtual tradeshow presence (April 18-20). A refund will not be issued for the conference portion of your partnership if you choose not to participate.

Interested in reaching thousands of NASW Virginia members with a mailing of your own? You can purchase a mailing list for one-time use. The NASWVA executive director must approve the usage and purchase prior to mailing. The list will be provided as an Excel spreadsheet. Each record is $0.28, with a minimum required purchase of $50. 

Addresses can be purchased and organized to include

  1. all NASWVA members,

  2. NASWVA members in a specific district (see map below, click to enlarge),

  3. up to 10 zip codes, specified by purchaser.

To make a list purchase, please follow these steps:

1. Complete the Certification of Limited Use document (download here).

2. Complete the order form in its entirety (download here).

3. Return Certification of Limited Use, order form, and sample of intended mailer,         to the NASWVA Marketing Department at marketing.naswva@socialworkers.org or fax to 804.510.0374.

4. Make payment by check or credit card, or request an invoice,

5. NASWVA staff will notify you via email of approval.

6. A list will be generated based on your selected criteria once payment is received; please send payment to marketing.naswva@socialworkers.org.
