Call for Session Proposals Now Open – Submit by September 29, 2025

Are you ready to step into the spotlight and help shape the future of social work?

The 2026 NASW Virginia and Metro DC Annual Conference is seeking passionate, innovative, and experienced professionals to present powerful sessions that challenge, inspire, and educate. Our Call for Session Proposals is officially open, and this is your opportunity to be part of one of the region’s most anticipated social work events.

Why Present?

Because your expertise has the power to transform lives, influence practice, and strengthen communities.

Each year, our conference draws more than 400 dedicated social workers, researchers, educators, and students working across a wide range of fields—from private practice and child welfare to hospital systems and public policy. They come for fresh ideas, practical tools, and bold conversations that move the profession forward.

This year’s theme, “Invisible Threads, Indelible Impact: The Quiet Power of Social Work,” honors the often-unseen but deeply powerful contributions of social workers. We invite you to align your session with this theme or bring forward another topic that reflects the current needs and realities of practice.
