NASW Virginia's biggest professional development event is nearly here! Earn up to 18.5 CEs from the comfort of your home by attending the NASW Virginia and Metro DC Virtual Annual Conference April 18-20, which offers 36 sessions plus keynotes on everything from artificial intelligence and virtual reality in social work to new mental and behavioral health research and treatments.

This live-virtual event is the sister online conference to the chapters' March in-person conference, so you'll be participating in live chat, Q&A, and online networking. More than nine out of 10 in-person attendees rated these conference workshops as satisfactory to very satisfactory, with session speakers and keynoters rating even higher at 4.52 out of 5.

An impressive 95 percent of the nearly 180 attendees said they would recommend or likely recommend the conference to other social workers. Here are a few testimonials of what virtual attendees might expect:

  •  "This year's NASW Virginia and Metro DC Chapters Annual Conference was an absolutely amazing experience. I attended so many wonderful breakout sessions and brought home a wealth of knowledge... I paid additionally for the on-demand [registration], so I could obtain access to the remaining sessions I was unable to attend in person. It was just that good! I also was able to meet and connect with some amazing people. I look forward to attending next year!"

  • "As a rural LCSW, I was provided the opportunity to network, engage, be empowered, lead, advocate, gain knowledge to continue the conversation with hospital leaders, enjoy community, and make some noise as a change maker. The opportunity to engage with VA Chapter [Executive Director] Debra [Riggs] and NASW CEUs provided a sense of belonging in a larger world in the rural LCSW practice in behavioral health and rural communities for policy and education!"
