NASW Joins “Reimagine Crisis” Campaign to Expand on New 988 Emergency Number

NASW joined with 40 partner organizations to publish an open letter in The Washington Post July 16 that builds on the launch of the long-awaited 988 emergency #mentalhealth number.

The coalition has created a #ReimagineCrisis campaign with next steps “to reimagine our crisis response system into something truly equitable, accessible, and effective.” The campaign calls on policymakers to take key actions such as scaling up mobile response units and expanding services in rural and other underserved communities.
